Painted in the windowsill of my studio at the Verrocchio Art Center, these shoes were props from the closet and had been spray painted a metallic gray. I loved experimenting with a yellow palette, making sure to keep the value relationships the same. The shoes reminded me of my mother dressing up - and taking off the high heels as soon as she got home.
